I am 19 years old. My boyfriend attacked me and I was merely defending myself. Unfortunately, when the police came I was not very clear in telling my side of the story and I was arrested. Mr. Chan took my statement, wrote one letter to the District Attorney’s Office’s and they agreed to not file charges even before my first court date.
